Steve has worked with Aloha Properties initially as a part-time realtor with
his late wife, Suni beginning in August 2004. He and Suni were recognized by
their clients as Aloha ‘Aina Award Nomination REALTOR® Awards Program
Nominees in 2008 for their exceptional service, and Steve was again
recognized with nominations in 2014, 2015, 2016. He was recognized as a
2016 Aloha ‘Aina Awards Program Winner, one of 10 selected from his realtor
colleagues in Hawaii.
Steve has ensured that his clients are supported throughout the buyer and
seller process and has maintained an outstanding reputation as a member of
the Aloha Properties team. He has diligently served as a Realtor Associate
since retiring from federal service in December 2012 and constantly strives
to improve his profession, serving his clients. Steve has also earned the
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation and completed the At Home
With Diversity (AHWD) course, as well as the Military Relocation
Professional (MRP) certification, the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES),
Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), and Seller Representative
Specialist (SRS) designations.
He has a reputation as a details- and results-oriented Realtor Associate and
Property Manager who can be counted on to get the job done. Relentless in
service and devoted in undertaking, he is a proven partner in real estate.
Steve served in the federal service for over 34 years, with over 20 of those
years as a Department of Army (DAC) civilian and more than nine years with
the Intelligence and Security Command and retired on 31 December 2012. He
also served over 27 years as an Army officer on active duty and in the U.S.
Army Reserve until his retirement as a Colonel on 1 December 2005.
Steve has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate
University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Chaminade University
of Honolulu (cum laude) and an Associate’s degree in Police Science from the
University of Hawaii. He has also completed the resident Army Force
Management Course, Organizational Leadership for Executives, Personnel
Management for Executives I & II, and the Sustaining Base Leadership and
Management Course and was recognized as “Best in Seminar 1” of 17
classmates. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff
Officer Course (CGSOC), Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), and
the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.
Steve’s lovely wife of almost 30 years, Suni, passed away from cancer on 30
March 2011 and is dearly missed. They have two children, Steven Jr. is a
Border Patrol Agent. Michele is a family court attorney and son-in-law,
David, is also an attorney for a private firm. Grandson, Luke, is our pride
and joy. Steve was re-married recently to Jessica, whose first husband also
passed away from cancer almost 13 years ago. While not busy working for and
